• Black Canadian businesses are underrepresented in high-growth and high-paying industries such as technology and finance (Statistics Canada.

• Black-owned businesses have a lower survival rate compared to the national average, with only 42% surviving past the five-year mark compared to 51% of other Canadian businesses (Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce)​.          

• Increasing the representation and success of Black entrepreneurs could add an estimated $80 billion to the Canadian economy over the next decade. (Conference Board of Canada)​.
